Cpu temperature
July 31st, 2013
does that cool enough and what is a good cpu temperature?
Mine is 40/50, it’s normal I would say.
Depends on what model your referring to.
Show us some CPU-Z screenshots.

50 C is pretty high for a Sandy Bridge rig if it’s on idle. Where do you live? 20s to low 30s would be more acceptable.
Yes I too think 50 C is too high… paroxysM is right, better check the fans sir, before something bad happens.. not even my lap-top gets that high when on idle.
It’s not too high its perfectly acceptable, they’re designed to perform under those temperatures. You may want to just clean your CPU-cooler and fans though if you don’t do that normally but regardless, that temperature is fine. However, check you CPU temp under heavy load (such as when playing games, converting video/audio files, etc.) since that may cause it to overheat (over 70 degrees for a period of time) and then permanent damage can be done to your CPU.
bought an extra fan for my pc
hope the temperature will cool down
It should help. Have you tested it again? Use HWMonitor.
45 C after more than 1 hour..
is this good enough?
Pretty good, but better buy a CPU Cooler unless you already have one, a case fan wont do much really.
Reseat your cooler, get a better case.
My 2600k @ 5ghz get better temps on air. 30’s C.
get an extra cpu cooler it’s dirt cheap!
Whatever I do the CPU temp stays around 20.Cooler scythe mugen.
if its 50 on idle i would’nt be happy myself with that temperature. my CPU maxes out at 47C

already have it
i think i cant get any cooler than that
My 2500 stays at 24C at idle on Intel HSF.
50 C is good

Well my room temp. is around 22C and CPU idles at 38C. and 58-60C at max.
download a software called “core temp”, it shows you your current temp and max temp ur cpu can handle
I have 78 and it’s normal.
34C is mine on 9%
