50 C is pretty high for a Sandy Bridge rig if it’s on idle. Where do you live? 20s to low 30s would be more acceptable.
Answer #9
Yes I too think 50 C is too high… paroxysM is right, better check the fans sir, before something bad happens.. not even my lap-top gets that high when on idle.
Answer #10
It’s not too high its perfectly acceptable, they’re designed to perform under those temperatures. You may want to just clean your CPU-cooler and fans though if you don’t do that normally but regardless, that temperature is fine. However, check you CPU temp under heavy load (such as when playing games, converting video/audio files, etc.) since that may cause it to overheat (over 70 degrees for a period of time) and then permanent damage can be done to your CPU.
Answer #11
bought an extra fan for my pc
hope the temperature will cool down
Answer #12
It should help. Have you tested it again? Use HWMonitor.
Answer #13
45 C after more than 1 hour..
is this good enough?
Answer #14
Pretty good, but better buy a CPU Cooler unless you already have one, a case fan wont do much really.
Answer #15
Reseat your cooler, get a better case.
My 2600k @ 5ghz get better temps on air. 30’s C.
Answer #16
get an extra cpu cooler it’s dirt cheap!
Answer #17
Whatever I do the CPU temp stays around 20.Cooler scythe mugen.
Answer #18
