How many hours for a lifespan for a HP laptops backlight before it dies and needs to be replaced? thanks for the help appreicate it guys.

can never say for certain, but years
CFL backlites are florescent tubes, and LED’s Lifespan is 50,000 Hours, about 5.5 yrs

Because I had to get my other screen replaced cuz of the backlight and I only had the laptop for a year.

depends on the use, and if the manufacture is any good, impossible to say from year to years. no one can estimate, its is if hp used cheaper parts on it.

I only had the laptop for a year
I replied: can never say for certain,that’s why I added this ^^
the lite could have had a defect that took a year to surface

The cheap ones would die or get significantly dimmer within an year or so.
