How do you connect two movie parts?

February 3rd, 2020

Hello, I’ve been wondering – is there a program that helps you manipulate and connect two or more parts of a movie? (Some movies come in parts, which are more convenient to watch on a DVD in one part)
And if there is such a program – I would like to have just a simple and good one, I don’t want anything fancy or heavy, the lightest and best.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I’m trying it – but is it supposed to take hours to join something? I mean, I only want to connect the end of one file to the beginning of the other… Is there any faster way?
Answer #3
Try Boilsoft Video Joiner
If the files are in the same format, it should be really quick, from what I remember.

If you dont have any other alternative.

The reason it takes so long it’s because those types of software re-encode the entire segments again using its default compressor (divx, xvid, etc),with the default settings these software have…problem is most of these software don’t give too many choices on what compressors to use or adjust the kbps they would be compressed with…(the more kbps the better quality but bigger video size, and vice-versa,also some compressors are better than others in giving the best outcome quality)
This means the outcome most times would be in less video/picture quality,if you don’t know how to tweak these settings…
The best solution for you is to use a free small software called VirtualDub,it won’t re-encode the video,it will append the videos together with the same exact video quality…as long as the videos have the same fps, resolution, and codec used to be compressed with, which most movies split in 2 you download from here have….this will also make the process very fast
Download VirtualDub from here, you don’t even have to install it,just put it in some folder you make.

To append videos (join) simply follow this quick guide:

in virtualbub use “direct stream copy” and it takes 5 mins or so
if your converting to DVD format use convertxtodvd and set continuous play (play one file after another) and it works seamlessly, you won’t know the break is there

Thanks for the explanation guys, I downloaded VirtualDub and it really does take about 3-4 minutes to join a 2hr+ movie.
