I’ve tried various methods, Office 2007 will validate but when I try to download an on-line template for example, it always says ‘non-genuine’.
But what the hell, it still works… I get all the updates…

The above method WILL validate your office, it even shows you how to go to the microsoft site to validate it, you should have no problems.

that is exactly the same with me – i can update it fine even though its blue enterprise edition xD

You could try using the OGA file from the crack shown here.
I did a similar thing with mine and it made it all genuine.

It’s simpler to obtain a VLK (Volume Licensing Key) and apply it with the magical jellybean keychanger.
