how do i install vista alongside iatkos 2.0i and xp

I have a pc with xp as the original operator and have iatkos 2.0i on there too on a second partition.But how do i install vista alongside them?

You should create another partition and then start Vista Installer. Once it ask you for the partition you select the one that you’ve created before.

Thanks but I think that one gets rid of xp i want all 3 operators

I tried somthing like that before and it messed up xp and vista

Actually installing vista with XP installed first doesn’t need easy bcd. You just go ahead and install vista straight off on it’s own partition and it sets everything up. True you can use easy bcd to customise the boot manager a bit though.

yes thats true.
Anyone had 3 operaters before. Iatkos has its own bootlaoder ‘Darwinboot’ which you can sellect between iatkos and xp within a countdown of 5 seconds. Vista has its own bootloader were you can select xp or vista once vista is installed on the second partition

That could cause problems as vista likes to load XP and if iatkos 2.0i does too… I’m not sure

It is rather. I suppose what you could do is install vista on a virtual machine with something like VMware. That is one way of getting vista.

Well with VMware you can just remove the OS really quickly if you find you don’t like vista – the only downside being you will have to boot into XP to load vista.

Well I think you are going to have to make a choice between vista and XP then. At least you’ve now had the chance to try both.

can i install XP if i already have iaTKos 4.0 installed on my C:/ ? i only have D:/ drive to install xp, is there a way to make a new partition(E:/) from D:/ or C:/ without losing data on them ?
