How do i apply patches to no cd cracks?

i got no cd cracks but my games are v1.0 and i want to apply v1.2 to generals to use a trainer but the patch says it found a file with same name but not the same contents

no i just took the no cd crack off by repairing it with the disk now its 1.2 but there are others i need to do it to i dont have the disk too

No entirely sure what your problem is.
My guess is that you need to first update your game, replace the .exe with the no-cd/cracked .exe. Then run the trainer. OR
You need the original (non-cracked) .exe

yes, that’s correct.
that’s the reason why people ask you to keep (or rename) the original .exe file that the crack is replacing
