High Quality Music / Audio player with ASIO?

For some years now I have been using Winamp as my standard music / audio player, and I must say it is a great all-around program.
Lately though, I have been looking to get a player more advanced and with higher quality playback, probably able to enhance the default audio quality, and in more particular an ASIO capable player since I do own an ASIO able sound card.
Winamp is unable to use ASIO unfortunately.
Foobar is able for proper ASIO playback, but I could not find advanced settings regarding player latency and efficiency regardless of the ASIO drivers settings, it has very basic ASIO playback components as far as I understand.
I found great and advanced settings in J River Media Center, but unfortunately the program is buggy with ASIO and their support was neither willing or able to help a potential customer, therefore I am not interested on trying with it anymore.
Reviews and web-searches are unclear, I can’t really make up my mind and I do not really want to go through learning how to use a program and only a few days later to find out it’s not working as it should.
What program do you guys use? Would you suggest anything ASIO or non-ASIO specific?

Personally, I don’t think you need an asio player, just because your listening to music. There’s other players that are more functional and more pretty (if that’s your thing) and more lightweight.
I use ASIO for my DJ activities on my laptop (Traktor or Mixxx) which is music production not playback.
