galaxy 10.1 imo
dont make me a fanboy but i like android more
but anyway any1 will tell you to go for the one they perosnaly like

They are both pretty bad choices if you want to do stuff like watching movies on them.

i agree that tablet is better then the two in OPs post but he didnt mention his budget

i would wait. there are a slew of new tablets about to be announced this week. but transformer prime is the best choice as of right now

One point to remember is iPad is going the same direction as HP did in printers. It is the one that all else are compared to. Every other one is chasing iPad trying to catch up.

Not a fan boy but jailbroken iOS > android > iOS .
If u can get a jailbroken iPad get it . Or else go for galsxy .
