to open a port u have to acess your router
Answer #3
I also have a wired connection from my ps3 to my router
Answer #4
port forward. you might want to try google ps3 nat restriction.
Answer #5
My ps3 nat is type 2 but black ops says restricted
Answer #6
go here
http://www.simpleportforwarding.com/
download it
select your router and put TCP: 80, 443, 5223 and UDP: 3478, 3479, 4658. UDP: 3658 should also be opened for voice chat.
Remember though, Type 1 is only for people on modems, so Type 2 NAT is what you’re aiming for.
EDIT: these ports seem related to Resistance: FoM:
TCP Ports: 10070 – 10080,
UDP Ports: 50000
UDP Ports: 6000-7000, 10070 (for headset operation) these are the ports
you mite need to buy that app but you’ll find it on wbb

I tried to do it but it did not work. Should I do the ports seperate or just one from start port to end port? i have my PS3 wired and which connection do i add the ports to?. Also could you write the port numbers more clearly for example 5000 – 10000 or something like that
Answer #10
first you have to find out what local IP address your PS3 is using on your network, then you forward the ports to that internal IP or assign DMZ to that same local IP
Not recommended using DMZ to a PC but it should be fine for PS3’s and Xbox’s etc
It would be more helpful if you state make, model of your router/modem
EDIT:
On our Xbox360, i added its MAC address to the router and assigned its own static local IP, which means everytime i switch it on it will always have that same IP address (I set ours to 192.168.1.3)
On a PS3 to obtain your MAC address of your unit:
1). Select Settings on the PS3 Home Menu. 2). Navigate down and select [System Settings]. 3). Select [System Information]. Here you will find your MAC address. Be sure to note down the entire code, including colons
It should look something like 00:23:69:7c:28:f1
As to assigning your PS3 a static IP depends on your router, but most routers with its own DHCP server should have somewhere to set that up. This way you will always know what IP address your PS3 will be using for future reference.
In my router i have settings called ‘Virtual Server’ which is where i can set up the port forwarding
