Hamachi is a virtual LAN program. It tricks your computer into thinking it’s on a local network with other people, when you’re actually connected via the Internet. Its purpose for games is that most downloaded games require unique serials to play online. Whereas for LANning the rules are a lot more relaxed. As such you can play with people online via the LAN modes in games.
