Hard drive help
December 17th, 2018
My hard drives are as follows
36gb Wester Digital 10,000rpm 2x 500gb 7,2000rpm None of these are in RAID
I am using the 36gb for my c:/ so that when I boot up my OS it is booting up on my fasted available hard drive.
This is excactly what I am doing. In my E:/Downloads/GTA San Andreas folar I have got GTA_Vicecity_III_Sanandres.rar and I want to extract these all into my E:/ drive into a seperate folder which makes sense but when I extract it into a different place on my hard drive it says my hard drive has not got enough memory or disk is full this is clearly not true as there is over 300gb of space left but then it moves all the information it can into my E:/ but the my C:/ loses memory which does not make sense because I have 48.8 MB Free of 34.4gb when I click into that hard drive these are the following hard drives with the following amount of meory in them Program Files – 1.91GB
Users – 1.55gb Windows – 35.2mb This is clearly not 34.4 gb used but I do not understand why all this space has been used up and where.
It says that when i try to extract the GTA folders it says it is extracting it to C:/Users//Desktop
Which is not true because I only have folders on there. Any advice on this would be greatful I am running Windows Vista 32 BIT if this helps
you using winrar ?
GTA_Vicecity_III_Sanandres
search your c:\ drive for the above
space problem on C:\
empty recycle bin
type ” %temp% ” into search box and delete all but todays date
rt click the drive and select tools/drive clean-up
Windows - 35.2mb
on vista it’s gotta be bigger than that, maybe 4-8 gig
maybe also do a Disk Defragmenter and Disk Cleanup
K I ended up trying to compress my C: lol so I installed windows xp I will see what will happen now.
