Hard drive failure warning, need assistance

Hi guys, A week or 2 ago my pc is giving me warnings that one of my hard drives is about to fail. Windows 7 gives me warnings and suggests backing up my data before it is to late. I installed hard drive sentinel to have more detailed information and HD sentinel is telling me the same.
This is the warning I got (this is a translation to english because HD sentinel is installed in dutch)  Expected error - Features: 5 Reallocated Sectors Count, sectors moved to the reserve area. Indicates a problem with the disk surface or the read-write heads.
There are 4179 bad sectors found on the disk surface. The contents of these sectors has been moved to the reserve area.
Immediately replace the disk.
It is recommended to immediately backup to prevent data loss.
So I ordered a new hard drive, copied all of my data to the new drive but some data on the failing drive I wasn’t able to copy because he couldn’t locate certain files, I think this was due to the damaged sectors, am I right? So now I have 2 questions:
1: can I use some software to get the lost data back? 2: can I still use this hard drive if I format it? Any help is welcome, thanks in advance.

Use you can still use the HD..
In fact bad sectors are recovered by manufacturers before the sell they product..
I use “HDD Regenerator” …Maybe there is some new tools out there..But it does the job for me…

thanks will download HDD regenerator But If I use hdd regenerator will I lose the data that’s on the drive or not? Because most data is copied to a new hard drive but there is still some data not copied. I can see the files in windows explorer and I can select them but when I try to copy, windows says he can’t find those files. So maybe first data recovery and then use hdd regenerator or just use regenerator? thanks for your help so far

Nope..You won’t lose any data..The bad sectors will be scanned and recovered..
Oh…Make yourself a few cops of coffee because it will take a while to scan all the HD..Depends how bad the damage..

In theory you can recover some of the lost data but it’s not always possible. I suggest to check the smart values of your hard disk just to be sure if there are some serious problems(use something like fanspeed and go to the smart tab).
