Gmail VS Live.com Mail…What to choose?

Ok so I am finally going to get away from microsoft outlook and keep my emails online.
I am trying Gmail but its proving difficult to get my emails into my nerw gmail account.i know a lot of people say that gmail is better but i have heard people saying that once you go over 100,000 emails it goes slow.is this true.Its also hard trying to get my archive emails from friends and family on there.
live mail seems easy to get my emails on there but is there a limit.I need to keep my emails that I have because there friends and family.With photos and everything.
I just checked my outlook folders and I see that I have just over 300,000 emails.
Deleting them isnt an option.
Please advise guys and girls!!!

why on earth would you be needing the whole 300k?

You were not asked to believe her. You were asked your opinion on live or gmail.
I prefer live or rather hotmail. Gmail is spammed to death.

Gmail has a far superior spam blocker IMHO. Your mail isn’t going to get spammed unless you put it about on the internet everywhere for bots to pick up. I’d go with Gmail myself. Just make one for a back up account to save your emails to. Use Mailstore to back them up and you can transfer them to Gmail or disk http://www.mailstore.com/en/mailstore-home.aspx

Gmail, they have a real Spam filter… and much more options than Live.

The hotmail filter is so good that if you are not on my contact list, your email is in the junk folder. and unlike GM it doesn’t conatin 200 a day. even though I don’t give out the address.

more options, the labs, more space, more flexibility, more security and use POP options in settings to connect it with outlook
