Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox doesn’t, unfortunately, remove your information and possible corrupted data from your computer.

Those can easily be imported. Just Google it.
However, if using a new profile fixed your problem, then there is probably an issue with one of your extensions on your main profile. Decide which is easier for you, debugging your main profile, or importing your bookmarks.
