Any suggestions/advice is welcome.
Razer Deathadder if you have big hand
I got this mouse a couple weeks ago for like $15 from Staples and it’s really comfortable to me:

G9x is for claw/fingertip grip. What grip style do you use and what’s the surface you play on?
Look here for different grip styles

G9x (Avago ADNS-9500) suffers from heavy negative acceleration on cloth surfaces. You need a good hard mousepad for it to track at it’s best
Oh and if you’re who I think you are.. Oh hai!
I got a G500 and I like it.
Its handy for web browsing as that scroll is nice.
Seems I’m mostly fingertip, with a bit of palm thrown in. Surface is the plastic-wood veneer of my desk, as I don’t have a mousepad. I went out to a few places today and didn’t really see any corded laser mice. Not sure if that really matters, but I’ve been told corded is better than wireless, and laser is also an improvement over optical. I noted the G500 was fairly comfortable, but is pretty fugly. But no mouse are really comfortable early on.
I got cheap mouse from Argos for 3. Still works fine. No need spend that much Money on a mouse
hell i use the old ball scroll where you gotta blow on it…old school…but get something that is confortable…but relatively..a mouse is a mouse…now i know some ARE better than others…but ya know
i bought a Sharkoon FireGlider 3600 DPI Laser Mouse which was cheap and so far its been excellent, also works great directly onto my desk, no mousepad

This is the first time that I heard of someone that buys a mouse based on looks.
Me ? nope i bought it coz it was the only mouse the store had that fits my large hand.. most mouses are too small…
any mouse will do dont waste money just for a mouse
Money isn’t an issue, it’s actually a birthday gift from my parents.

Best fingertip/palm mouse currently is the Steelseries Xai. If you want the same shape for cheaper (a whole lot cheaper) check out the WMO 1.1. It might be a better buy for you since you’re not really a serious gamer. Laser is picky on surfaces and if you don’t have a good mousepad you’ll experience worse tracking than opticalGoogle spreadsheet for mouse sensor and performance

Theres not a better buy if you get a G for $40. I suggest buy it if it doesnt have any defects.
Logitech mice are prettty good but I’ve had my Razer Deathadder for around 3 years and I wouldn’t change it with any other
Got one from RS when they still had Rewards , Like it a lot and only complaint is the braided wrap that covers the cord is stiff and kinks on occasion [You can see what I’m talking about in bottom pic]…You will like it and thats a decent price Picture of entire package:

Actually, the first mouse I bought was a WMO, albeit from 2003. Maybe I’ll dust it off and see how it is.
If you are playing an fps game, you could use the g9x, if its for non fps games just grab any normal mouse at staples. you don’t need all the addons from a gaming mouse that deal with DPI and extra sensitivity settings.
