Gateway Wireless Mouse not working

August 4th, 2016

Hi, i just got the Gateway GM5632e, 1tb hardrive space, 3gb ram of memory, nvidia geforce 8500 gt, Windows Vista x64, Wireless keyboard and mouse. I’ve been using it for around 2 weeks, and its been working fine. Suddenly this morning, i turned on my pc and the mouse pointer/cursor is frozen, the keyboard still works tho. i replaced the batteries, but it still doesn’t work. The red sensor light on the mouse keeps blinking rapidly even when its on a mousepad. I moved the usb reciever to another usb port, but nothing works. I restored my comp to see if any software or updates were upsetting the connection, but it doesn’t work. I tried to reset the mouse and reciever, (including pressing the connect button) doesnt work. I tried to look up similar problems on google, but no luck. If anyone has a solution, that would be great. Thanks.
Mouse Model:
Wireless Gateway MR-0610T
Version: TP

if there is a button on the usb reciver then press it there sould be another button on the mouse (under it) then presss that one.......quite right.. there should be a “reset” button.
If none of this works.. is it possible to test it on another computer?
dont do anything crazy, if you just got this, you should be able to get a new mouse with gateway if it doesnt work.
wireless mice are temperamental anyway, find that reset button
