Flashget- Call home!

Need some advice…. i have been doing some research into using a download manager for my RS account and have decided that flashget is probably the best one out there. But i have come accross a few articles which suggest that FlashGet sends information about modems/routes/Nat addresses/stuff we have been downloading etc back to a few server based in china and the USA.
The most alarming thing was that it has been discovered that flashget also sends Login Name + Password for ~ Dead file host ~ (UNENCRYPTED, just plain .txt format !!!!!)
Can anybody tell me if this is true and if the earlier versions of the product are 100% clean?
never heard any complaints and have had no problems myself using rapidshare premium account plus flashget
cool, what version are you running?
Im on the lastest version and havent experienced problems with it, Iv used about 6 or 7 diff accs and never had any probs
Maybe this is the added feature provided by the person who provided the crack..
Unfortunately, all programs that are allowed Net access (via firewall), can send whatever informations they like. Until someone captures the packets sent, and decodes them, we will never know what info they send.
