Flashget Back to 1.8!

I have decided to downgrade my version of Flashget due to real suspition of unknown activities going on in background.
Flashget 1.9x is really slower than 1.8 and (in vista) not very stable. Actually it seems to be struggling when I add links… Is this delay due to the communication with the chinese servers!? flashget.exe1108TCP49160 192.168.1.101:53domain59.151.31.139 EstablishedC:\Program Files\FlashGet\flashget.exeFlashGetFlashGet1, 9, 6, 1073FlashGet.com
Any suggestion???

I went back to 1.72 on XP
above that there seems to be more torrent/FTP options I did not like and it seemed harder to “control”
