File Protected PenDrive
September 3rd, 2013
i have a flash disk (pen drive) and i am not able to format it. even when am trying to delete its contents, it says that : “the disk is write protected”
can anyone solve this out for me…
thanks
please read this: http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-disable-write-access-to-usb-hard-disk-and-flash-key-drives/
I ran into this once on a wd external drive. Funny thing was wd, the manufacturer provided software that would allow access to format it . This way you could make it work again, you just could have the files on it.
So if you don’t need the files, try the manufacturer’s website for software to unlock / format it
its not working
its a SanDisk pen drive.. can someone please help me with it
R u in uk or us? And how big is pen drive?
Maybe there is little switch on the side
there is no switch….its small in size..
Delete the partition via a partition manager or via diskmgmt.msc and create a new partition. Easy as 1 2 3.
does not work for me
Use KillDisk on that pendrive.
