facebook notifications

so i write to a newspaper and comment on some articles,
and if someone responds to my comment it should notify me on facebook
as i tick my comment (post to facebook),
this stopped happening last month, i dont know if there were changes to facebook,
on my notifications i only get comments from friends, and i cant find any settings for other articles,
help please,

ask facebook its their site but they update it themselfs so things change on it every few weeks

Do this:
1) Logon to Facebook. Then on the top right corner, next to home, their is a padlock and next to it is a wheel sign click this icon.
2) From the drop-down menu scroll down and select “Account Settings”
3) Now you should be on the General Account Settings page. On the left of the page are all the settings. Select the “notification” button.
4) Under Notification settings page, you will see a “How You Get Notifications” & “What You Get Notified About” titles.
5) Choose the options you want to edit, such as Email.
