I’m wanting to make a ringtone from the audio
the video is from this website.

Firstly you’re gonna want to code your link.
Secondly I use my Xilisoft mp4 converter to convert mpeg2s and flvs to mp3s – which is in effect what you’re wanting to do. You can select a start & end point before converting if you only want a bit of it for your ringtone.
Other methods are available, but this is how I do it.
BTW I use Internet Download Manager to download the flvs in the first place.
Other download managers are available, but they all suck.
I recommend xrecode II. I used it succesfully to extract audio from VOB, MPG, MKV, AVI, MP4 and some other file types I can’t remember now. It claims it can work on FLV but I never tried it out on FLV files. For some reason, every FLV file I ever come across had terrible quality compared to the other video file types. But hey, it won’t hurt to give it a try.
try the freeware Video to Mp3 software. I use that and i use to use their youtube to mp3 software.
You need a multimedia transcoder, like HandBrakehttp://handbrake.fr/
its better.
Its free and open source
even better.
Its cross-platform
a lot better.
if its FLV file, then, you don’t need any of that conversion software..just get “FLV Extract”…its freeware.
