Even safe webpages won’t open because my browser says they are not safe
August 7th, 2016
Even when I try to visit google.co.uk, internet explorer says:
‘There is a problem with this website’s security certificate.”
And on other websites, google chrome says:
‘Your connection is not private’
I’ve head this problem can happen if the computer clock is set wrong.
But I set it to the correct time, and even used internet synchronization, but I still get the errors.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Run a virus scan using Malwarebytes, Bitdefender or whatever your poison is. Always use multiple tools for a second opinion. If you are using Chrome or Firefox check your extensions make sure nothing is hijacking your connection. The last thing to check is your proxy settings make sure nothing hijacked those, this is common for malware and adware to do. Those are the most common issues we run into dealing with certificate errors. Let us know if you solve it or still need help!
could be due to a proxy setting.
or clock like you already said.(check timezone also.)
