how safe?

How safe is it to upload to rapidshare or megaupload when they are in .rar format?
Also is there a risk of my IP being tracked, and me getting in legal troubles? Thanks

Almost zero, as long as you use common sense, and dl files from trusted users.
And .RAR’s with passwords… LOL that’s like being in a nuclear bunker.
Long story short, copy right company’s already have a hard enough time catching people torrenting, they aren’t going to target us, when they will start loosing even more money.

Yeah it will cost them alot more to fly over here to arrest us and theyd have to prove it etc.

Honestly, theres so many piraters these days that companies usually dont care if you pirate their software anymore. Even if they did care, they cannot do much other than complain Theres are huge communities of piraters over the internet, it would take too much effort, time, and money for the government and companies to take ALL of us down. The worst they can probably do is just arrest the popular and notorious uploaders. In Canada, I heard it’s LEGAL to download but ILLEGAL to upload.

Pirating is always a risk……but if you do it smartly, you keep the risk level to a mininum
But, to answer your question, you are VERY safe.
