dvd drive showing blank dvd

What can I do ?
The description of the dvd-drive in device manager is : cd-rom drive.

Go in to device managers, uninstall it and scan for hardware and let it install.
I had that problem too on my uncles laptop.

I meant will it play something like a music CD or a Movie DVD..

The dvd burner not read the dvd’s it burned. it recognize them as blank dvd’s.

It helps if you mention what burning software you are using..
Maybe you didn’t tick the close option session option before burning..

Weird thing : one dvd can readable in another computer and then I try to run it on the problematic burner dvd and it read. I don’t no for how much time. this is only testing.
It look like the dvd keep on it data about the previous computer.
, the burner dvd must read dvd’s even if I close them or not after burning on them.
