Downloads via Torrent

August 6th, 2016

Hey all. I have an acceptable internet speed (50Mbit’s) and when i’m downloading torrents i have this slow speeds that freaks me out :S like 30Kb/s… I’m using BitTorrent to download the files, anybody knows any better software or a set of configurations that will make my speeds increase?
Thanks.

open port and test if it is open to torrents

It’s probably because there is only a few seeds. If there’s only 5 seeds, and say they limited their upload speed to 10kbp/s, then you would only download at 50kbp/s. But, if there is 1500 seeds and none of them limited their upload, then you would probably download at a few mbp/s.

Download speed on torrents depends on the ammount of seeders (people who share the file) that’s why torrent speeds usualy suck unless it’s a very popular file
Answer #4
totally agree… if you want to down load something its 100% better do pay the small membership of rapidshare etc.. use internet download manager and u can have 2 gig files in 5 mins or less

It depends where you download from. If for instance, you use a public tracker like The Pirate Bay or you found a link using google, it’ll probably be slow as well as full of infected files.
I’d recommend getting into a decent tracker(ask for an invite in the correct section/wait for open signups) and using utorrent.
There is never(from my experience) a low seeders issue at a half decent private tracker.
This may help,
