Download Manager on Wireless Connection (minor issue)

March 26th, 2017

I’m currently using IDM 5.17.5 on a wireless connection. I’ve never used IDM on a wireless network until only recently. I don’t know anything really about networks or the nitty-gritty of how an internet connection actual works for that matter, so I don’t know what information is pertinent.
I’m not on the host pc (if that makes sense), I’m using a D-Link WDA-1320 (which is internal), I’m about 30 ft away from the router (not sure what brand that is) through 1 wall, the signal strength is never below “fair” but usually “good”, I’m using Windows 7 64-bit.
I should also say this is the only issue I have with anything on the internet with the exception of some weird issues on youtube sometimes, though I doubt it’s related. So… Everything is perfectly fine with 60% of the downloads, but with the remainder I only get two connections and it stops with the “send gets”. Which from what I can tell usually does affect download speed tremendously, meaning the difference between 200kbs and 700 or more kbs. And I know that many sites force the max connections for accelerators, but this happens even on rapidshare (for which I have a premium account) where I’ve gotten up to all 16 connections…um…connected. Also, a little less often, the download speed will dramatically reduce to literally “0 bytes” at any random time during the download, sometimes it picks up again, sometimes I have to completely restart the download to fix it.
I don’t know, I guess thats it. Not the most urgent issue but can certainly be annoying . If anyone could help that’d be great. Thanks.
