download aborts problem

January 31st, 2020

Lately every time I try to download a movie file, it almost finishes than aborts. Doesn’t seem to matter which hosting service I try. It’s very frustrating. Would buying a premium from the hosting service fix the problem or do you think it’s something else?

Answer #2
Right now I’m using JDownloader, is Internet download manager different or better somehow?
Answer #3
no IDM gets it to..ill get 99% done then it fails and you have to redownload…i just got the newest version which is 6.14 and its been working great no problem….i also noticed when you download several files at once it increases chances of that error
Answer #4
It has nothing to do with the download manager, This problem has existed for nearly a decade with multiple connections per download in download managers. In short its an unreliable way of downloading files and should only be used as a last resort when a sever is throttling the hell out of your connection.
Use 1 connection per download, You can download multiple files at the same time.
Answer #5
I only download 1 file at a time, so that would be 1 connection, and I usually close my browser. I currently use JDownloader. What other way are you suggesting?
Answer #6
^ do you have jdownloader configured to use multiple connections per download (the browser and 1 file at a time is irrelevant)
Answer #7
I just reconfigured it to have more than 1 connection. I’ll try that and see what happens. I had no idea it would make any difference since it was only doing 1 download at a time.
Answer #8
I have seen it posted that your A/V could be your problem. It’s scanning the file before it’s finished downloading.
