Do you need pS3 original games even with the jailbreak ?

I’m buying a PS3 next week and i was planning want to jailbreak it but a friend told me that you need the original PS3 games when you use the jailbreak .So what is the use of the jailbreak then ?

Step 7: In order to play a game via the backup you just made, insert any original game disc into your console (To emulate the loading process), run "Backup Manager" in the "Game Menu". Press �X� to play the selected backup game.

From what I have read you need an original game in the console to run a backup, any game to run any backup. That’s just so it boots up, I’m not sure why or if it’s correct but that’s what I’ve read on a few sites regarding the PSJailbreak.

depends what hex file u flash your usb device with original psgroove with backup patch = need original in the drive psgroove-hermes-evil = no disk needed but bit unstable on mine anyway all the info u need u will find here

yea… for the most part all games that do work need a disc….and there are some that dont require it… theres a good list here: psjcl.com
