Directory Opus – move/copy to a set folder

August 7th, 2016

Hi,fellow hunters,
Directory Opus – move/copy to a set folder I wish to create a button that will copy files/folders to a preset folder (I know there is one in the context menu but I prefer buttons I can move around)
also a button to move files/folders to a preset folder Pity cannot use Dopus support forum anymore – have to register your copy first – don’t they trust anyone anymore?
Thank you for any help

Answer #1
Enter customize mode, right click on the menu item, copy, paste it somewhere on a toolbar. Walla. Instant button. You can just drag the menu item also to move it instead of copying it.
To make a buttom that moves files to a preset location, make a button wherever you want it and give it this function.
Copy MOVE TO “C:\path\to\dir”
You really should read through the Help file if you truly want to take advantage of all that Directory Opus has to offer.
Answer #2
Not a 100% clear on what you’re trying to do but to simply move files around, you could create a batch file
Answer #3
Thank you both for your help and suggestions
using what you say how do you write this.
Copy MOVE TO “C:\path\to\dir”
I want it to copy or move any file~ Folders are not allowed ~ that i click to select and then move it to a predefiined set folder such as “E:\Library\Books To Read Next”
I have looked at the Help file but I cannot workout what I need. Any help please.
