Dawn Of War 2 Steam issues…

Recently I purchased Dawn Of War 2 from EB Games. I get home, put in the serial and Steam says the serial has been used before. I lost the receipt…is there any way of getting another serial (keygen, etc) or bypassing Steam altogether?
Uninstall Steam? Install it on a different computer? Have a browse here for some separate keygens?
Try those. Steam is gay IMO so I don’t use it unless it’s a Steam game.
I’ve heard stories about people using keygens and getting a key someone bought before they got a chance to activate it.
That was a long time ago, I don’t know if it is still possible.
Did you buy the game with Paypal by any chance? You might be able to find the transaction ID in your account history.
