CPU Usage has shot up with this recent Windows 7 update.

April 9th, 2014

Hey Guys,
The updates contain, Windows 7 service pack 1, Updates for .NET framework and some security updates.
I am using the Home version on a dell inspiron, usually the cpu usage is below 5% but now it varies from 30-60%, while performing the same tasks as before.
The machine heats up a lot, am not able to put it on my lap even.
How can i resolve this? Thanks.

Mainly it was SearchFilterHost around 30%,dwm.exe around 10-11% , others are not significantly increased but still the CPU usage is high.
