Choose a cooler first.
Some coolers will restrict the ram slots and you will find ram with taller heatsinks will not fit.
You know there is something called G.SKILL right?
Also, you can normally modify your cooler to make it fit with the crappy corsair dimms, I have done it before.

Correct, you don’t want to RMA as much as you want with Corsair.
Corsair modules have high DOA rates according to my supplier.

That seems counterproductive.
You only need higher clocked modules to scale well with the processor, although you won’t notice anything from regular use.
Corsair is using the same ram as everybody else.
None of them actually make ram, so whatever brand you buy you get the same stuff.
Unless you count Crucial as they are a sub company of j-micron who make the RAM.
There are only a few company’s who actually manufacture the ram then sell them on to partners like G-SKILL and Corsair etc.
I have 2 of these kits and am very happy with them, then again I’ve only had them for about 5 months
