i want to convertor the vedio file . there are lot of file extension which one to choose such as mp4, mkv, pov, avi etc and what resolution?
Converting a 720/1080p .MKV movie file to 400-500MB will loose alot of quality, I would suggest you to buy a external HDD to store the .MKV movie files

If you lower the resolution then you could do it without lowering the quality too much but it is going to take you a lot of time to convert them. It’s a case of balancing resolution and filesize/bitrate to preserve the video quality. It’s not going to be very environmentally friendly with all the electric you will use just to save some hdd space.
The extension/container is only important for the playback method and for a PC it is pretty much irrelevant. It’s the codec(s) which will affect the quality and filesize. H.264/x264 and AAC audio will be best for filesize and quality.
You might be better off downloading some smaller size rips instead.
use handbrake

AutoGK
