Confused About “Rip”, “Reloaded”, “

January 28th, 2020

Hey, I have been browsing through the games section alot recently, and have been mega confused by the tags “Rip”, “Repack” and “Reloaded”. What do they all mean? And if i was searching for a game, with all languages removed except English, would that be “repack” or “rip”?
Thanks! Sorry if this has been asked and answered already!

Answer #1
Rip => generally means some goodies/audio/video is removed..
noRiP => size smaller than actual release; nothing ripped from game; but audio/video quality is reduced to save space
repack => highly compressed again to save space

Answer #2
Rip = They remove/compress the non-essential things
Reloaded = It’s a cracker/release team. Which is why you’ll see like Sims 3 Reloaded (Reloaded is the cracking group)
Repack = if they release a flawed release the first time, they’ll “repack” it and it will be the final version. full rip = everything is there, but some things are done to reduce file size (compress audio/re-encode video etc)
