Computer service and maintenance guide

i need guide which first i must do for maintaining and servicing computer include software and hardware.
example:
1. create backup
2. registry cleaning
3.bla..bla..bla..
4. …
i need the right thing to do first.. could someone help me?

you will need a good back up program…try acronis
you will also need a good anti-virus program…try security essentials..its free and can’t go wrong since its microsoft
im not much into registry since i can always restore pc to a previous state using acronis if anything goes wrong..
open computer 3 times a year to blow all the dust out make sure fans are working..
most important is to backup before installing something that might srew up your computer that way you can back track…

sorry lionden.. i mean that, i need to maintain and service at 1 company’s computer.. so i need to know step by step i must do to maintain their computer. which 1st thing i must do.. example, 1stly i need to backup 1st.. 2nd i need to use virus removal, 3rd, i need to repair registry.. kind of like that… im getting blur which part i must do 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and until finish…. could u and someone advice it for me?

thanks a lot delos.. how about if there are infected computer.. how should i do?
some case, im trying to repair registry (i forgot which software iuse it). after restart my pc, an error message appeared. thats why it make me worried to do service that company…. im worried if thing like that happen to me..hehe
