i get a red X and this error message when i attempt to install or uninstall a program.. and if i go to administrator tools > anything it comes up. can’t access much of anything except the programs already installed on my computer. it was working fine until i ran Disk Doctor in Tune Up Utilities 09.
Answer #1
I believe Tune-Up Utilities makes back-ups of your deleted entries –> if the option was enabled. I think I’d check there first. If if did, just restore the last back-up.
Answer #2
that would work.. except when i try to open tune up utilities i also get the error. :-/
Answer #3
Have you tryed running your computer in ‘Safe Mode’ ?
Maybe you will have better/working access to your programs.
Try ‘System Restore’ from either your regular boot-up or from ‘Safe Mode’ to roll-back from before you installed Tune-Up Utilities. Also from ‘Safe Mode’ you should run an anti-virus +/or anti-spyware scan, because Tune-up Utilities shouldn’t mess up your computer the way that you describe.
