[CLOSE] COD4 & NFSPS Refuses To Load!

August 7th, 2016

I downloaded both games earlier today. Installed and everything wen’t fine.
I start NFSPS first and I get into the game. I create profile and everything is fine.
But when I want to start a new game it comes the loading page. It loads for a few seconds, then everything freezes. Same issues with COD4.
I can’t seem to find what’s wrong, I meet the requirements too. Any ideas of why?

Answer #1
try new drivers for Video card, as well as motherboard… close programs that aren’t needed before trying to play… did you restart before trying to play? if not.. then make sure you do.
Answer #2
I’ve the newest drivers for video cards.
What kinds of programs should I close?
And I’ve restarted 100 times because it freezes so I must.
Answer #3
just try closing everything you don’t need, i would just leave Antivirus and things that are important, everything else, close!.
try this patch for COD4
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/11448/Call+of+Duty+4:+Modern+Warfare+Retail+1.1+Patch
EDIT: Also, try turning your graphics all the way down, if it works, then just start testing it with higher settings each time.

I still need help, any ideas?
I’ve updated my DirectX to the latest version, and still something is wrong. I thought it was it because I’ve had problems with DirectX in the past.
Answer #6
Sounds like a problem with your computers,
What are your specs?
Answer #7
Intel Pentium 4 3,4GHz
1GB DDR
400GB HDD
nVIDIA GeForce 6600
256MB Gfx Card
EDIT: I pass Minimum on both games! I tested using System Requirements Lab!

Direct x 10 requires the Graphics driver itself to be amazing, you also need a STABLE edition of vista.

Answer #26
I downloaded COD4 and I’m back to square one! O.o
Answer #27
I think it’s your graphic card which is giving you these problems, it’s an old card. So try to put a more recent card in your pc and see if it works then.
Answer #28
Arghh always the card!
I kind of always knew it was the card…I’m still in denial!
Answer #29
try installing xp instead of vista, not only does it run much faster, but it will delete the file that is stopping it from loading..
Answer #30
hmm.. are theese games buyed? or downloaded? If downloaded; try other downloads, or other cracks..
That’s my only guess..
Answer #31
Hmm, okay!
I guess that won’t happend, but thanks for all the help!
