Cellphone corrupted 32 sd card?

October 14th, 2013

So i got a 32gig sd card off ebay a long time ago, after a few pictures/videos they kept getting corrupted and it would recognize the files and they cant be viewed or played..
So before I just deleted the files and reformatted the sd card on my laptop thinking it would work. Well I recorded a 5 min video of my son trick or treating and the same thing happen to that video…
So im just going to dump this sd card and buy a better one from a actual store. However my question is, Can i get the video back? i transfer it onto my computer and VLC wont play it neither will windows media player.
Is there a program I can download to recover this file?

If the video is corrupt, highly unlikely.
You could try using BadCopy Pro to see if you can get a better copy of it from the SD card.
Try a low level format on the SD card afterwards. Have you tried other SD cards, it could be your camera that is to blame.
