Answer #1
Your power steering might be gone?
Have a look in your manual it will tell you why the lights still on
Answer #2
ABS= Anti-lock Breaking System. There’s something wrong with your breaks.
Answer #3
It wouldn’t make your steering heavy, what car have you got?
Answer #4
Ye, i was thinking brakes but steering can’t go aswell can it?. I have a MK4 Golf
Someone told me on another forum it could be steering rack, ABS sensors or steering angle sensors (as i hit an hard bump earlier on)
Guess i need to have it checked over – $$$$$$$$$$$

Quote from Wiki:
Modern Electronic Stability Control (ESC or ESP) systems are an evolution of the ABS concept. Here, a minimum of two additional sensors are added to help the system work: these are a steering wheel angle sensor, and a gyroscopic sensor. The theory of operation is simple: when the gyroscopic sensor detects that the direction taken by the car does not coincide with what the steering wheel sensor reports, the ESC software will brake the necessary individual wheel(s) (up to three with the most sophisticated systems), so that the vehicle goes the way the driver intends. The steering wheel sensor also helps in the operation of Cornering Brake Control (CBC), since this will tell the ABS that wheels on the inside of the curve should brake more than wheels on the outside, and by how much.
Answer #6
Hmm are your brakes alright? Loss of hydraulic pressure? Nice car btw
Answer #7
braking feels different
everythings telling me its the sensors
Answer #8
steering could feel heavy if brakes are faulty and dragging
Answer #9
you check the power steering fluid ?
you check the brake fluid ?
check the engine compartment for loose/broken/dis-connected wires
your belt/s ok ?
ABS really only affects braking in a panic or slick surface stop
it “pumps” the breaks so you don’t loose traction, it’s skid prevention fallback position
have it checked over - $$$$$$$$$$$
