cant get in to BIOS to changed overclock setting

i can get in my bios but cant changed the overclocking setting why? hes my computer.
Gateway GT5268E Media Center Computer. eerything is stock

BIOSes from manufactured computers (Dell, HP, Gateway, etc.) are locked–you can’t OC anything.

I don’t know why you posted that, but like I said, manufactured computers have their advanced BIOS features locked, so you’re SOL. I’m guessing with a 4+ year old computer, overclocking wouldn’t help much anyway.

With what? Another BIOS that is locked? Nothing.
I don’t know how many times I need to say it–you CANNOT overclock your PC.

Every thing is possible. lot of software’s are available to do this job or find a good computer maintenance person who will erase your bios and recopy it.

its not that he doesnt know anything, hes obviously correct. altho not all computers are locked, as for ‘s bios. he said so himself he cant change anything because its locked.
