XP doesn’t have built-in drivers for the Nexus 4. Not surprising given the years between the two.
You can get the driver at:
http://developer.android.com/tools/extras/oem-usb.html
You can also xfer files wirelessly using a great free app – AirDroid. You access the phone via your browser. In fact, you’ll never plug the phone directly into your computer again!

1) well i will try 2 install : google usb drive and check it out
2)Is wifi modem needed to use AirDroid app
Answer #3
1. Good luck – I’ve used that file to install on a virtual XP machine and it worked for me.
2. Wifi is needed only if you stick to the lite version. The full version (also free), requires you to register for a free account and And, most importantly, you can now access AirDroid over the Internet with an account. Forget the old same WiFi restriction.
