Can’T change screen resolution

August 29th, 2013

Hey, guys.
My computer was just finished defragmenting my HDD when all of the sudden it logged off by itself and changed the resolution.
When I restarted it, the resolution 1440×900 had gone. And all of the sudden it doesn’t recognize my monitor anymore; it just says “generic non-pnp monitor”.
I tried to make a custom one on NVIDIA panel, but it keeps saying “test failed” when I choose the interlaced one.
My NVIDIA drive is up-to-date, and I can’t find the driver for monitor w19ev.
I’m on Win7 x64
Please help

"test failed" when I choose the interlaced one.
why you choosing interlaced, progressive (non-interlaced) is what you want ?
try uninstalling and re-installing your display drivers

Because when I tried progressive it looked really blurry. I tried uninstalling and re-installing my nvidia driver, but it’s still not working.
It only looked clear when I try 1440×900, 60hz, interlaced; but it keeps sayin test failed.

it looked really blurry.
you run the monitor’s auto-adjustment function
any chance you have a “restore point” from before the problem started ?
driver (7/vista)

if you uninstall the driver completely then windows should install a driver for you on the next boot.

I did, but no change at all man. Still blurry.

Unfortunately I don’t. This was my first instinct as well; to check the restore point

I’ve tried this, but it has absolutely no effect on the monitor.

But for some reason this damn computer decided not to.
