Cannot download Torrent files with Firewall protection

August 6th, 2016

I installed utorrent on one of the networked pc’s at work, and tried to download torrent files, but could not. Also tried with files that had lots of seed but still the same. I believe the firewall is set to stop this. Is there anything I can do to enable this?
Thank u.

If you are admin you can set up an authorization on your firewalls definition that allow you acess to the net.
If the problem is in the firewall this is the basic solution;)
Answer #2
Enable the program through your firewall, and post what your firewall is so we can help you further. IF you enable it from your firewall software and that doens’t work it maybe something to do with a port closed on your modem

Torrents need to allow incoming connections which is why when using a home PC either automatic via uPnP or manual port forwarding is needed. But at work you won’t be able to do this so you won’t get anywhere. Hardware firewalls only allow incoming connections for connections that are already made which is no use when using Torrents.
