well its in beta still and just for testing and bug location purposes. I dont think its ready for gaming yet

Windows 7 is still in heavy building. Its far from gaming currently. If your a gaming guy making the switch now would be a pure waste.
Why would you want to use Windows 7 let alone game on you. I hope you do know that it is nowhere near being half way complete.
Avoid Windows 7 completely, don’t use it for gaming.
If all the bugs don’t bother you then let the security risks involved scare you.
If you insist on using Windows 7 though, just try and see if they work or not.

It’s rumored that it will be out December of 2009. It’s a pretty strong rumor.
