call of duty 4

I downloaded Call of Duty 4 and it seemed to install fine , but when I try to run the game I get error messages saying the following items are not valid Windows images ….
msssvoice.asi
milesEq.flt
mssds3d.flt
mssdsp.flt
msseax.flt
are not valid Windows image.
then , after closing the last error window the following error message appears..
fastfile for zone ‘code_post_gfz_mp’ is corrupt or unreadable.
and that’s as far as the program gets ………
I’ve tried this out on 2 different PCs and had exactly the same result , so I’m thinking it’s not a hardware issue …… I did everything the nfo said to do but now I’m stuck ………. can anyone offer any help ? ……… it would be greatly appreciated as I’d really like to play this game some day soon …… lol

sounds like your installer is corrupt mate, where did you download this from? when you extracted it, did it come up with any errors or something??

I downloaded from here using pulmanj’s upload , and didn’t have any problems with the install ……. no errors at all , there were duplicated files in his post , rars 14 and 26 but someone else flagged that up and pulmanj said it didn’t matter which ones were used as all were working …….. don’t know if that could be a problem though …. thanks for the reply ….

you should reply back in the original post from pulmanj and ask him what’s going on, cause if your getting those errors it just means that somewhere along the line, some files must have gotten corrupted. but you should CoD 4 ASAP, it’s such a good game. I bought and havnt been able to stop playing online
