Biggest Picture known?

August 1st, 2016

I remember seeing a topic long ago, it had the biggest resolution picture ever, it was like 700mb+ and was something in space I think. I am wondering if anyone can help me find that link to it, on here, or link me to a download of it.
And has anyone ever tried using it as there background?

The sharpest image ever taken of the large “grand design” spiral galaxy M81 was released 9. June 2007 at the American Astronomical Society Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii.
A spiral-shaped system of stars, dust, and gas clouds, the galaxy’s arms wind all the way down into the nucleus. Though the galaxy is located 11.6 million light-years away, the Hubble Space Telescope’s view is so sharp that it can resolve individual stars, along with open star clusters, globular star clusters, and even glowing regions of fluorescent gas. The Hubble data was taken with the Advanced Camera for Surveys in 2004 through 2006. This colour composite was assembled from images taken in blue, visible, and infrared light.

Warning! Massive file! 22620x15200p (706mb!)
Smaller picture for people without hightech performance machines:

4000x2688p (6,2mb)
The fullsize original is indeed really hard for computers to open, I have a Pentium 4 3Ghz 2GB DDR2 RAM machine, and it takes app. 3-5 minutes for me to open it with photoshop!

Answer #6
Anyone know if this full size can fit as a background? On maybe 1280 x 800? I thought that if the picture is meant for bigger, then it’ll be even more resolution to it as smaller.
