Best ways to promote a blog?

Has anyone got any tips on how to promote my blog so i can get more taffic? Ive done the obvious things like putting it in my sig,guestbooks,emailing freinds,link exchange etc but is there anything more i can do?

Lol could do but i cant see many people coming from me spamming them lol

You could try Yahoo! Answers. All you got to do is answer questions related to your niche, and add your blog link to the bottom of your answer. Helped me a lot with my old blog

I wasnt to sure if you was allowed so i didnt want to push my luck lol changed it now tho
