I’ve had weird issues with AAC audio a few times with players other than VLC. Use DVDFab 9 to convert it. Use AC-3 codec for audio and see how it plays on your tablet. If that doesn’t work try mp3 codec. It’s a good idea to use HQ 2 pass setting for video encoding method. You’ll get a much better quality video. All the other options can be left default.
Edit: also change subtitle option to remux if you want to include subs.
With DVD fab or whatever, I would set the output to 2CH stereo and then the bit rate would only need to be 128kbps.
If that don’t work, try mp3 audio.
All a bit weird though…Sound like what you would expect if you were trying to play Dolby digital sound without a decoder!
Maybe when you get a decent copy of Deadpool it will be better
Thanks so much! I’m at work but I am eager to try these tips. It’s an odd and frustrating new issue. I appreciate the hep.
Actually I don’t know why you are getting a problem
because the .aac sound in that movie example is the most common for .mkv and .mp4 files.
Maybe you need a different or updated player in your LG.
Yeah that’s what I assumed as well. But it happened on burned DVDs too, that’s what really threw me.
