Any recommendations on a netbook / tablet or should I wait?

I finally sold my behemoth laptop, and I got $600 for something smaller and lighter. I was reading up that Asus has some good tablet pads coming next year… should I wait for those or just get a netbook?

Well, there will ALWAYS be something newer and better every 6 months or so – how long do you want to keep waiting?
Why not get a cheapie netbook now ($200), and save up the $400 + saving for a decent $1300 lappy next year. That way you won’t be without mobile connections.
