An introduction to console emulators please?

So i wish to play ps3 games on my computer. I assumed this requires an emulator so i looked up ps3 emulator but came up with some dodgy betas or bios files for (i think) running on your actual ps3.
Could someone please explain to me if it is actually possible and perhaps give me some famous emulator names? Any help is appreciated.

wtever they claim to have r all fake n untested..
Don use them.
Still ps 2 emulators r laggy on high end pc..
so i think ps3 emulator wont work well in any existin pc..

The PS2 emulator isn’t even fully functional. What makes you think there would be one for PS3?
